Take the bold step and support the global community of young change makers.
From a simple give back project in 2016, it started as visits to schools in convenient locations as and when necessary. The team would visit schools (junior and senior high schools) and deliver mentorship modules to the students. Our major focus was on the girls in those schools, mentoring them on personal hygiene, academic, career pathways and social life. This continued through to 2017, where the co-founders partook in series of development programs that prompted the registration of the project into a legally recognized NGO in 2018.
The NGO was registered in 2018 as a regional based NGO for the start, hoping to upgrade from there with time. The team worked on a new frame for the NGO; school going young people are mentored and the unemployed people in the locality equipped with vocational and employable skills; to enable them start their own businesses or secure decent employment. We have been privileged to have benefited from a couple of funding and meaningful collaborations for most of our projects so far. We look forward having more sponsorship and collaborations ahead.
At IYEGlobal Foundation, we are committed to fostering a workplace environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our foundation believes in the power of embracing different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences to drive innovation and create a more inclusive culture. We have established a comprehensive workplace policy that promotes respect, fairness, and inclusivity among all employees.
Diversity is not just a buzzword for us; it is a fundamental aspect of our organizational ethos. We actively seek to create a workforce that reflects the rich tapestry of our global community. Discrimination of any form is strictly prohibited within our organization, and we are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for professional growth and development to all team members.
Inclusivity is at the heart of our workplace culture. We strive to create an environment where every individual feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute their unique talents and perspectives. To support this commitment, we offer ongoing training programs to raise awareness of unconscious bias, promote cultural competence, and enhance understanding among our staff.
Transparency, integrity, and open communication are the cornerstones of our workplace policy. We encourage collaboration, mutual respect, and support among colleagues at all levels of the organization. Expressing gratitude for the contributions of each team member is integral to our culture, as we believe in recognizing and celebrating the efforts that drive our collective success.
By upholding these principles and practices, we aim to cultivate a positive work environment where diversity is celebrated, inclusivity is embraced, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive both personally and professionally. Our commitment to these values underscores our dedication to creating a workplace where everyone can succeed and contribute meaningfully to our shared mission.
